Bottom Line Up Front: Here is the database we will use to aggregate all our crowdsourced solutions from our virtual village 😘
We used to have a village.
Friends down the street. A neighbor who stepped in. Family nearby.
Even school felt like part of the net that caught us when we were kids.
But now?
The village is fractured.
Mostly because we’ve scattered. And find it hard to ask for (or accept) help.
We lack connection to real people. To each other. And to our own intuition.
🧩 THE PROBLEM
Every parent I know is solving the same problems. But doing it in isolation.
🎄How do I manage school holidays when I can’t take time off?
🍔 How do I feed my kids something remotely nutritious that they’ll actually eat?
🧠 How do I deal with the mental load of remembering everything for everyone, always?
And most of us are stuck rebuilding the wheel… every single day.
🧠 THE SOLUTION
Over the past few weeks, I asked this community to share the companies, tools, and solutions you rely on.
And the ideas you shared blew me away. Like I am actually putting them into practice. And I feel like my village expanded overnight.
So I built a home for our solutions:
The Parent Problems Resource Hub. An open-sourced database of the crowd-sourced solutions that came from you.
✅ Browse the hub here
✅ Submit a company, tool, or fix that’s helped you
✅ Forward this to someone quietly doing it all — they might be building the next great solution
Right now, you’ll find 6 categories:
Food
Birthdays
Childcare
Mental Load
Education
Camps & Coverage
Community & Emotional Health
This is just the beginning. The more voices, the more solutions, the bigger the village. And in case it wasn’t obvious, this is free 😜.
🫶 WHY THIS MATTERS
I didn’t grow up with a blueprint for parenting. And unfortunately, I don’t have many examples of what it “should” look like. I think there are a lot of us who feel this way.
And now, raising my own kids, I feel like I’m using a lot of trial and error. Stitching together strategies, tools, and help wherever I can find it. And constantly wondering if it is supposed to be this hard.
That’s why I built this hub. Not because I have the answers. Because I don’t.
And I believe the most powerful thing we can do is say, “Here’s what helped me…maybe it’ll help you too.”
Not in a unsolicited, annoying, “shut up Karen” type of way.
In a I legit see you type of way.
📬 WHAT’S NEXT
Next issue, we’re going back to our regular format:
One problem. Real talk. Crowd-sourced solutions from this community. At the conclusion of which, we will add more resources to the Parent Hub. The flywheel we all need.
👉 Want to shape what we cover next? Tell me what parenting problems are keeping you up at night
👉 Got a solution that’s helped your family? Add it to the hub
We’re not meant to do this alone. But together? We just might build the village we’re all looking for.
With you,
Rachael

Coming at you live from my living room!
